The official language of the Congress is English.

Visa

Visas are required for some nationalities to travel to China for this conference. Please contact your travel agent or the Chinese Consulate/Embassy in your country for exact details on the visa application procedure as soon as possible. Visa processing times can vary.

It is recommended that participants apply for a tourist visa. The organizing committee of InfoTech-2016 cannot issue any official letters of invitation for business visa applications due to Chinese regulations.

Liability and Insurance

The Congress Secretariat and Organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

Weather 

November is the first month of winter and could be cold. The temperature is between 5°C (41 °F ) and 15°C (59 °F ) in Qingdao city. It will get colder if a cold snap arrives, which may also bring snow. The wind is also strong during the month.
Generally, a thick overcoat or wind coat lined with a knitted sweater is adequate. To protect yourself from the cold weather, consider wearing knee pads for your knees.

Currency and Banking

The official currency is the RMB (¥CNY) or Yuan. Chinese money cannot be exported. And major credit cards are accepted (VISA, MASTER CARD). Foreign currency can be converted in the airport, hotels, and banks. The working hour of most foreign exchange centre is from 08:30 to 16:30. You are advised to exchange some RMB for your bus or taxi fares before your departure. The exchange rate between U.S. dollar and RMB Yuan is approximately at 1: 6.3. Although major credit cards are accepted at big stores and ATMs, cash is still more widely used.

Electricity

Electricity is supplied at 220V, 50Hz AC throughout China. Major hotels usually provide 115V outlet for razor.
